Easy check in, not worth the £, other guests disrespectful. Felt dirty like student housing

  Liked: Easy self check in

Disliked: Room didn’t seem clean, there was plastic wrappings on the floor. Bathroom was dirty and door still doesn’t lock (isn’t proper door just plastic bi-fold) other guests came in late shouting and running up and down stairs, knocked and tried to get into our room. then up early too. Booked this months ago and would have aborted due to all recent bad reviews if it was refundable!

  Carnation Road is a Gem

Liked: For me rather than pay a big Hotel alot more money. All I needed was a comfy bed wardrobe and T.V. Very quiet and relaxing time.

Disliked: Would have liked a few food shops nearby. A steady walk to the Co-Op down the road. Soon sorted!!

  Liked: Nothing

Disliked: It was a first floor box room. The shower room was downstairs. The bedroom was devoid of anything. There was no table and not even a chair. There was 1 central light bulb and even that was devoid of a light shade.

Comfortable room, but had to quickly adapt to the unexpected setup. OK if you know in advance

Liked: Comfortable bed, windows that open wide which was good in the very hot weather, cosy carpet underfoot, roadside parking (at a squeeze), good kettle, good location for our purposes.

Disliked: Unclear description - could have been interpreted as ensuite with kettle and mini fridge in room. Then noticed "shared bathrooms" - actually there's only one (slightly cramped at the basin), and naturally had assumed it was upstairs, but it is downstairs through lounge and kitchen - which would just be helpful to be aware of when booking. It was OK but there were people (not owners ) actually living in the house so we felt like we were walking through their space as they watched TV (tho they were very nice and chilled about it). But initially we thought they were the owners so were surprised no actual welcome when we heard them in the lounge. Email had said tea and coffee available in the kitchen, so we wrongly assumed mini milk portions too but no milk available, and the tea caddy was empty (Ok as I had brought some tea bags anyway). Again, if you know, that's OK (we had black tea, then got a pint and put in fridge!).Wasn't quite clear re instructions about changing the heating control when having a shower, so managed without hot water (tho I could have texted to ask.) We were given the wrong instructions about which room was ours, and though free wifi was advertised, there was no info re password.
