  Awful

  Disliked: I booked this property as it was advertised to include parking for one car on a permitted parking space. When I arrived there was no parking permit provided so I contacted the owner who advised that the previous guest took the parking permit with them. There is no nearby on road parking only permit holder spaces. After speaking to the owner and telling them I was not happy with this they advised me to park in the permit holder bays and if I were to get a ticket they would pay for this. That night I got a ticket which has since been delivered to my property and the owner has not paid this as previously agreed and are now not responding to any of my messages meaning I’m now going to have to pay an extra £60 for a parking ticket that I shouldn’t have received. This property has been incorrectly advertised and I have now had to pay even more money due to this misrepresentation. Not only this but the property was in a poor condition and had obviously not been cleaned properly as there was urine found around the toilet, multiple strands of hair found around the property and an old used bar of soap in the shower cubicle. After raising all of these issues with the owner I did not receive a response addressing these! I will be making a formal complaint to booking.com! Do not stay here!

  Nice little flat

  Liked: Comfy bed and Shawn had tried to anticipate clients needs. There was a nice bottle of wine on arrival which he immediately went and changed for a white wine on learning I don’t drink red. Ten minutes from town centre and train station at most by car.

  Disliked: I would describe it as a flat not an apartment. It is a bit dated and little things like a roughly cut bit of carpet instead of a rug by the bed, no curtain on the side window by the bed so early light wakes you. The kitchen light switch is blocked by the fridge and the light bulb is a very low wattage making it a bit iffy for cooking in the evening. Finally, it is up three flights of old stone stairs for appD3
