Dirty, unkempt and not a nice place

    Liked: The beds were comfortable

Disliked: The whole place was dirty on arrival, carpets had dog pee stains on them, the place looked like it had not been cleaned at all, the shower screen at the bottom was black with mould, doors and skirting boards were thick with dust and dirt. The windows were so dirty you could barely see out, the tv remote was filthy and sticky, the whole place needs a good paint and clean. I put these points to the owner but got a very short reply, he was basically not bothered by the comments. The only plus was it is right in the town and near the beach.

    Great stay, loved St Ives

Liked: The property was perfect for what we wanted. The location was superb, very central. The cottage is full of everything you need to make your stay comfortable (utensils, cups, plates, cutlery, microwave, cooker etc). Beds were really comfortable.

Disliked: There should be clearer instructions on how to turn the cooker on as there are 3 switches in the kitchen all in different locations and the one we were looking for was tucked behind the microwave. This is our fault for not realising but this meant the first night we were unable to cook anything until the following morning when the man was able to come and help us out. Also the lock is digital and we struggled to open it at first, once you get the hang of it, it is quite straightforward but you do have to remember to press the button when you leave to ensure it is locked as the cottage doesn’t come with a physical set of keys. Overall not much to complain about with this property.

Perfect for exploring st ives, charming cosy cottage. Parking is a challenge, but great location for walking

Liked: Great position in the middle of st ives. Lots of supplies & amenities provided. Very nice cosy feel. Hosts have great communication, very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: The parking situation is difficult- but then again it is st ives!! Also difficult to find bins - would recommend taking small bags of rubbish rather than a huge bin liner as public bins are small.
