Good
Liked: The whole accommodation was beautiful with fabulous views
Disliked: The shower was a bit haphazard
A lovely spacious cottage, but quite noisy upstairs
Liked: Lovely cottage, well equipped kitchen with plenty of plates, bowls, glasses, cooking utensils etc. Very clean inside and lots of room. Nicely decorated good sized rooms, we had our 2 year old son with us and were able to fit his travel cot in the bedroom no problem. We only stayed as a couple and one child, but plenty of space inside for more adults or a larger group. Was very warm inside but as it was cold during our stay it was nice to come back to a warm cottage. There was a hairdryer in the drawer of the master bedroom which was useful. Property has a good view out the front, can see the sea even from the ground floor, short walk from the seafront and shops but quite steep to walk back up. Lovely place to stay, a bottle of wine left on the table for us too when we checked in which was a nice touch as we were staying for a birthday occasion. Didn’t want to leave, could’ve happily stayed longer.
Disliked: It wasn’t very clear on arrival where to park or where to collect the keys. Upon arriving we parked in the first space that we saw in the car park only be quite abruptly told by one of the residents that lived there that we were in their parking space. We arrived in the dark in late evening, but even if we’d arrived during daylight it wasn’t particularly clear which space would’ve been ours. I had to contact Lea once we arrived as I had no idea where to collect the keys from, she was friendly and helpful and showed us around the cottage once we checked in, but it would’ve been nice to know where to go and what to do upon arrival. The noise from upstairs was also quite annoying, my son was woken up every evening and morning from the people upstairs, and we ended up waking at 6am one morning due to the noise of the floorboards. You could also hear muffled conversations from upstairs, so something to bear in mind if you stay in the cottage as you can hear all the noise from above. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve slept on, but we did sleep well regardless aside from the noise. WiFi was also not the best, wouldn’t work very well in the bedrooms. UHT milk was provided in the fridge, but small packets of butter would’ve been nice as we bought a full butter from the supermarket and ended up throwing most of it away when we left, but that’s only if I was being very picky. Overall a lovely place to stay, I would come back again
Good for a short break to visit St Ives
Liked: Great location and views- upstairs one bed apartment. Good size rooms, parking is a bonus and an easy walk to town via steps. Some might find them rather steep. Lea - on site manager is super helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The furniture is all very uncomfortable. The place needs a good overhaul and decent maintenance, everything looks tired and worn.
Liked: Location and views from apartment were great
Disliked: Bathroom and kitchen need updating.
Lovely apartment for short people
Liked: It’s location near to where we needed to be for a wedding at Tregenna Castle Its view Its facilities
Disliked: The low ceiling!!!!! Hit my head several times and it hurt The shower was over the bath but had no slip mat Did mention to Lea and she was looking into it The dustmen outside at six in a morning
A bit more cleaning was needed. There were pet hairs on the bed sheets
