Exceptional
Liked: The views are really exceptional, and the fact you can see them from the main bedroom is a rare but wonderful treat. The location is ideal for train travel, and within 10 minutes of literally everywhere you need in the town. Very thoughtfully curated property: sheets and towels are soft; a generous allocation of coat hangers (no need to triple hang things!); plenty of charging points (including both sides of the bed); hot and reasonably powerful shower for an electric one; provision of good quality toiletries; a welcome hamper including milk in the fridge. Kelly was also so warm and helpful, I know if I'd needed anything she would have sorted it pronto.
Disliked: None of these things particularly bothered me, but they are things I think may be useful to know: the heaters in the property are the ones with the giant digital displays, so if you're light sensitive when you sleep you'll need to turn the heater off (which gets chilly) and/or take a sleep mask. I also found the WiFi too patchy to stream, but I should say I stayed during Storm Austen so that was perhaps why! The stairs up to the flat are also exceptionally steep, they would be difficult for young children and/or anyone of limited mobility.
Fantastic 3 night stay
Liked: Lovely top floor apartment with incredible views, clean, tidy and compact. Everything we needed was provided, plus lovely welcome gifts and a very useful information pack. We were ideally situated for our coastal path walk, and it was just a short stroll into town. Convenient parking is opposite in the railway station
Perfect three day break here
Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at The Observatory, we usually stay in a hotel when we visit but wanted a change, and what a great choice that was. The location was brilliant, views were perfect and it was lovely and cosy at the end of the day to come back here to stay. Will 100% be back. If you’re looking at staying here, absolutely don’t hesitate in booking it as you won’t be disappointed.

Liked: Beautiful boutique style flat with stunning views. Bedrooms and bed very comfortable The welcome hamper was a lovely thought and yummy biscuits! Incredibly clean and wonderful thoughtful items
Disliked: We had issues with the shower but Kelly was incredible: responsive and sorted the problem out very quickly and efficiently. The WiFi was slow though and I was unable to access my work due to speed. It was also very noisy at night with cars but that did not detract from the incredible apartment and hosts.
