We would definitely use the hotel again

Liked: The hotel was well appointed, welcoming and professional. Staff very helpful and friendly. A beautiful building of mixed dates (one end modern) was excellent. Our room was in the historic end, full of character and thoughtfully decorated. Steep stairs but had been warned as such. Very comfortable beds, ready early, good amenities in the room. Quiet and relaxing. Easy parking. Great location.

Disliked: The hot breakfast was offered promptly on arrival in the dining area and produced very quickly. It was a little 'mass produced' and not at a standard that I would expect with the hotel exceeding expectations on all other fronts. Continental spread was very good.

Liked: Lovely property full of character but with a touch of the modern

Disliked: More milk in room rather than one small bottle. Details re car parking from staff mixed.

Poor customer service at the front desk set a bad tone for the whole stay. They are used to tourists just passing throug

  Liked: Location Clean

Disliked: The reception staff were very officious at check in. The fridge stank the room out with the smell of the last persons food whenever it was opened.
