  great location, beautiful room, bad wifi and could be cleaner. Host very attentive with breakfast

  Liked: Beautiful room in back of vintage store. Very pleasant host, did her best to provide vegan breakfast, very attentive. Room and furniture beautiful and quiet, right in the old centre. Near restaurants etc.

  Disliked: I'm not a demanding person, but it was not very clean. The tray with glasses and cups quite dirty. There were mosquitoes in the room, for your guests please please set a klamboe net for sleeping. Host did provide electrical insecticide diffuser - but not very healthy to sleep with that kind of thing, plus it kills other insects which i'd prefer not to. Wifi was dreadful which is quite bad if you are travelling for work and need to finish things in evening...

  Good welcoming base for short holiday

  Liked: Good location with very short walk to city centre, cafes, river and castle. Very welcoming hosts, good continental type breakfast with timing agreed on arrival. Tasteful and individual furnishings. Efficient shower.

  Disliked: A little difficult to find initially. The room was a bit dark (smallish window, maybe north facing?) but internal lighting was okay.

  A long weekend in Ghent

  Liked: This bed and breakfast "Baeten" is located in the centre of Ghent. It takes just a few minutes to reach the city centre. Spacious room, decent bathroom. Quiet surroundings. Breakfast served in your room with a selection of items

  Disliked: The rooms are located in a part of the house that was probably once a garage. The corridor is dark, with just a small window in the room. The mattresses and pillows are uncomfortable. The bathroom isn’t very clean, and there’s dust everywhere. There’s no soap for the shower. The price is high for this type of room. There’s a fridge, but it’s a bit noisy. The room is very damp. They didn’t clean the room or take out the rubbish
