Liked: Good location. Hotel had really good facilities, amazing breakfast, very comfortable bedrooms. Parking can be a little bit tricky. Had to go back on the one-way system.
Disliked: Parking for cars, €37, thought that was quite expensive.
Liked: Great location, stylish interior, yummy breakfast.
Disliked: Some corridors were a little tired, room was surface clean but could've done with a deep clean (cobwebs etc).
Liked: I always like my stay at Yalo, nice vibe, good food
Disliked: you have too many staff in your bar/restaurant and therefo a lot of people chatting amongst each other and not actually working.
Very enjoyable, a good vibe in the bar restaurant and would certainly recommend
Liked: The breakfast, although fairly expensive, was very good for a city centre hotel. The restaurant food in the evening was also very good quality
Disliked: As a Brit, we always like more teabags plus milk (not 'coffee milk') in our room!
Good to know
Yalo has a easy to reach underground car park, address: Vlaanderenstraat 26 (this is not the address of the hotel). Do not put the hotel address in your GPS to reach the car park since you will not be able to reach the parking then. The Ghent City center is a low emission zone. If you want to reach the hotel (and parking) it is required to register your car on the website of the city (exception for cars registered in Belgium and the Netherlands). If you don't register you might get fined.
