Exceptional
Disliked: I booked for a double bed but I was offered twin bed. We had to sleep on two separate beds. Why would I pay for something I didnt book?The staff was rude and his utterances made us feel we were not welcome
Spacious apartment, very comfortable and quiet. Lovely breakfast, friendly staff and 20mins walk from the centre
Liked: The apartment was spacious and very quiet. We slept really well and were able to walk into the centre in 20mins.
Disliked: Kitchen was limited but it was possible to cook a meal.
Liked: Lovely appart-hotel, nicely located close to the city centre. Spacious rooms, friendly staff and top location (Ghent is a lovely place to visit)

Highly recommend staying here
Liked: I can highly recomend. The staff were lovely, patient and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and I ate in the resturant two nights which I enjoyed. The accomodation was very clean and had everything that I needed. Housekeeping are really very good at their jobs. Its nice and quiet, you can set the room temperature to suit yourself. There is a lift to take you to your floor and stairs if you prefer. It is on a very easy to catch busses from here and several run directly to the train station. It is in easy walking distance of many attractions. I can't fault the place.
Disliked: The bath/shower is quite slippy when wet so take care gettin in and out.

Liked: Central location, rooms of good size and lovely restaurant
Disliked: We did not know that parking has to be booked in advance and had some trouble finding parking upon arrival. Hope it can be stated more clearly in the future
A nice place to stay but the food & drink on offer was disappointing
Liked: We like a great deal about Castenou - friendly reception staff, friendly bar staff, the rooms, the parking, & the location is within walking distance of the centre - & the canals are lovely too
Disliked: The food on offer was disappointing. There was not really a lot of choice if you were vegetarian & no choice if you’re a vegan. This was true for both evening meals & breakfast. I asked at breakfast of if I might have some olive oil for the bread. Eventually I was given a bottle of walnut oil. & we were disappointed that the bar closed completely at 10pm
