Exceptional
Excellent choice in a surprisingly quiet spot
Liked: Perfect for my stay. A clean and quiet room, near the centre. Great solid wooden front door for security and peace of mind. Very clean room and facilities.
Good for a short stay
Liked: Good location just south of anything you'd want to see in Gent itself, and close to trams for the main train station. A small but functional room. I stayed during wet and cold weather so wasn't affected by any terrace noise.
Disliked: The room smelt damp and stuffy, beyond what I would expect even in an older building. Bear in mind there is no fridge, so no way to keep milk for the provided coffee machine. The host messaged me at 1am the day before I checked in asking me to turn down the bathroom extraction fan. Unsure if something was lost in translation here, but odd either way.

Liked: Excellent location in the heart of the city. Walking distance from many of the sights, shops, bars and restaurants.
Very nice accomodation in the centre of Gent
Liked: Very nice accomodation in the centre of Gent. The room was nicely furnished, spotless clean and provided all neccessities. The location is ideal to discover Gent on foot as it is close by to many things to visit, restaurants and cafés. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book this accomodation again!

Centrally located, well equipped
Liked: Very centrally located, a short walk from the Belfry. No keys were needed but you were provided with a code. Communication was good as they allowed us to leave our bags early when we arrived to Ghent and provided us with extra coffee pods when asked. The room was well equipped that included a TV with some English channels which was nice when a rest was needed after long travel or sightseeing. It was located next to a wine bar which was very quiet on the first night but a bit noisier on the second, however this had quietened down by 11pm anyway. The room was very clean and had window shutters which was great for sleeping. I would have no hesitation in staying here my next time in Ghent.
Disliked: One side of the bed was a bit soft and I felt like I sunk into it. I’m a very petite person so not sure if the mattress may need changed soon or if it is meant to be that soft.
