  Amazing stay

  Liked: A comfortable and stylish apartment in a great location. We especially loved the record player and the selection of books. The apartment is about a 15-minute walk from the city centre and a 25-minute walk from the train station. The neighbourhood is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Tamara, our host, was very kind and helpful throughout our stay.

  Disliked: We would have appreciated a few more kitchen essentials, but that’s just a minor detail.

  A Wonderful Stay at Studio Spiegelhof

  Liked: I had a wonderful stay at Studio Spiegelhof in Ghent and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city! The studio is beautifully decorated, full of charm, character, and thoughtful details that make it feel like a home away from home. I especially loved the many books, the striking dining table and armchairs, and the lovely reading nook — every corner has its own personality and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The studio was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. The bed was beautifully made and extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was clean, tidy, and fully functional. Everything was thoughtfully arranged to make the stay as pleasant and convenient as possible. Another big plus is the location. Situated in a low-emission zone, the studio is in a wonderfully quiet area, yet only about a 15-minute walk from the city centre. It is also very well connected to public transport, including the railway network, making it easy to get around. Last but certainly not least, the host is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She also runs a catering business, which is a lovely bonus, as there is often something delicious to eat right in the house! Studio Spiegelhof is a special place that combines comfort, beautiful design, a peaceful location, and genuine hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily return. I wholeheartedly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a charming and comfortable place to stay in Ghent!

  Comfortable place to spend a few days

  Liked: Location was great - easy walk or tram into the historic centre. Comfortable unit - good couch and bed. Bathroom - shower was excellent and separate toilet was great. We enjoyed cooking and eating at the dining table.

  An excellent and very comfortable studio within easy reach of Ghent city centre

  Liked: Superb studio apartment. An easy walk - 15 or 20 minutes - to the historic centre. There is a also tram from the railway station that takes you within a 5 -10 minute walk of the apartment. It was a very quiet neighbourhood and there is a small Lidl supermarket just a short walk away. The studio has been thoughtfully equipped and decorated. It has a nice little kitchen area with a microwave and small fridge, which was perfect for preparing breakfast and simple meals, plus enough nice crockery and glasses (even champagne flutes!) to enjoy food and drinks properly rather than the hotch-potch you often find in rentals. The little terrace on the mezzanine floor was delightful and the perfect place to enjoy evening drinks. The bed and the pillows were blissfully comfortable, which again, we find is very rare in rental properties. We had great communication from the hosts prior to our arrival. We would definitely stay again if in Ghent.

  Disliked: It's a little warm, being at the top of the building, but there is a good fan to help cool the place down. It's also up several steep flights of stairs, which was no problem for us, as we only had hand luggage, but is something to be mindful of if you have mobility problems or large luggage.
