  Great location, but more of an Airbnb experience than a welcoming B&B

  Liked: The location was definitely a highlight, very convenient for exploring the city.

  Disliked: The accommodation itself was fine, but unfortunately our experience with the hosts was less positive. The welcome and key handover were not particularly friendly. During our stay, we also received a message regarding the tourist tax, but the amount requested was €10 higher than the correct amount. In addition, the shared/common area was not very clean during our stay. Overall, we felt the hospitality and cleanliness could have been better.

  Liked: Spacious and modern room. Easy access to the appartment with a code. The coffee machine in the room and some snacks in the common area gave our stay a little nice touch.

  Disliked: Communication with the host via whatsapp was not so friendly, but fine. We arrived little earlier than expected (but after check in time) and the room wasn't ready. A quick "sorry for the inconvenience" would've been nice.

  Perfect place to stay, quiet location yet close to everything

  Liked: Loved the location of Violet Suites, close enough to walk into the main tourist spots but far enough for it to be quiet. The owner is a lovely welcoming guy and took time to guide us on the map to the places we should visit. He has a passion for the history of Ghent and Belgium, interesting guy to chat to. Loved the modern feel in the room, has been styled wonderfully. Great comfy beds and our room had aircon that was certainly needed on the 30+ degree days. The shared kitchen space has everything you need, with tea, coffee & extra treats. As well as all the appliances you need if wanting to self cater. Added benefit of having secure, gated parking at the back of the building. If you’re looking for somewhere a little quieter than being in the hub of the city, within easy walking distance this would be perfect. Will absolutely stay here again.
