Exceptional
A great place to stay for our family. Lots of room and a very comfortably stay. Excellent location

Superb
Ideal spot for a stay with family. In centre of Spa
Liked: The host was very generous with a bottle of wine / chocolates/ snacks. Nice view of the town. Kitchen was superbly equipped for a big party. Plenty of everything including big pans. Often lacking in other properties.
Disliked: Suggestions for parking would be helpful in case there are no spaces in the road by the property (we found a free car park a day later). Tricky to understand what was free and what was not when you first arrived. Only 3 people can sit on the sofa. Dining chairs or bean bags for everyone else.
Lovely historic house for a family trip
Liked: La Main D'or, a gorgeous renovated historic house, was a very homey place to stay for our family trip to Spa. Traveling with a baby is always stressful, but this has been so far the best. They provided a crib as well as a high chair, changing table and baby bath, so it was perfect for our family trip. The rooms were quite spacious and the beds were comfortable. There were plenty of cookware and cleaning supplies to have a homecooked meal, and when the baby inevitably had an accident there was even already washing up liquid provided in the laudry room. As a particularly sweet and welcoming gesture, the hosts very kindly left us a box of chocolate, cava and sparkling waters. There is also a sauna or fitness room, though we didn't utilize it much.
Disliked: Like most houses in Belgium, this is not accessible for anyone with limited mobility as the house is on four floors and there are several steps to the entrance way. That said, the stairs were well designed, not too steep or narrow like many houses here. Other than that my mother and mother-in-law thought it would be nice to have a hand towel in the bathrooms and kitchen. Albeit towels for each person were provided, so that was a non-issue.
