  Great town to visit and hotel was well situated

  Liked: Comfortable room and an excellent location for walking down into the old town. Good parking opposite hotel.

  Disliked: Reception ceased to be manned fairly eary in the afternoon for arival.

  Would stay there agai!

  Great location for the old town and lovely hotel

  Liked: Once I found the hotel it was very easy to access. When I say found it, the sat nav had taken me a little too far down the road and it's o one way street. It is literally at the very top of the street. I had missed check-in (just) but I had been sent instructions how to access the key from the security box. Parking was excellent as both spaces to the rear of the hotel were available. I'm not sure what is have done if they were taken as the instructions regarding the 3 spaces opposite were vague. The room was nice if not a bit warm, but they had set up a fan as no aircon. Very clean room and bathroom and shower was good. Vending machine in reception was handy and it serves alcohol at a reasonable price too. I had never been to Heidelberg before but had unknowingly arrived on the day off the castle illuminations. Town was only a few minutes walk away and it was buzzing with atmosphere and very busy. The illuminations display and fireworks were a bonus. Room was a single so only a single bed.

  Disliked: Because of the castle illuminations the street outside the hotel was gridlocked. This wasn't a problem in the early evening as I headed out to the old town but it was noisy later on when I returned as many impatient drivers were beeping their horns whilst I was trying to sleep.
