  Not worth the money

  Liked: Good location, good access to public transport.

  Disliked: Photos on the internet DO NOT fit the rented apartment. Location dirty and not properly cleaned. During our stay, we caught the scabies (of course, not formally proven that they came from the rented flat, but it was our only stay) Attention: Provided parking permit is NOT LEGAL for hosts (legal only for employees of the restaurant with name and number plate) and you'll be fined on control. We had troubles to get our deposit back from the hosts for the permit. Flat is in the 7th floor under the roof, so lots of stairs to climb.

  We really loved the local feel of Neuenheim and found the kitchen, oven, washer all convenient for our stay

  Liked: Neuenheim was a great location in general but this location was exceptional for us. The location was within 3 minutes of Bar Centrale (a great cafe with some of the most attentive staff I’ve ever encountered with a neighboring pastry shop which had the best croissants right and across the street from a Wed/Sat morning farmers market), minute from a park, which was great fun for kids, a 15 minute walk to Altstadt, across the street from Lidl, and 12-15 minutes to Wasserspielplatz. And rolling shutters for all windows was a bonus.

  Disliked: For some reason, about a week or so into the stay, the stair light (motion detected?) started coming on in the middle of the night, would turn off after a minute, then turn back on, etc. which woke us up. Unsure whether due to vibrations, someone walking by (heard nothing), or something else. Maybe a glitch? What would be nice is some information about how to manage the lights to ensure they don’t turn on unexpectedly even with motion.

  Great location, good value for money, not very clean

  Liked: Great location - next to the river, central and great for families with kids. The view from the balcony. It was quite spacious.

  Disliked: Unfortunately, it was not clean. No toiletries at all.

  Better value if you are a group of 3-4

  Liked: Great to be so central in Neuenheim, easy walk to nearby restaurants and bars and the tram is just outside the door. A nice walk along the Neckar brings you to the old city.

  Disliked: The check in just never happened. I arrived within the time range that I had communicated but the host was not there. The apartment was still being cleaned. Without the host present there was confusion about my payment and about the access to the building. The apartment was nice but a couple small issues: a little dirty (cobwebs), there were no dish towels, and there was a motion activated light that I could not turn off. These are all small issues but together they were disappointing. Finally the tram outside is very loud so may not be ideal for light sleepers.

  Liked: Great location - easy walk to the river or hauptstrasse. Busses and trams 20 m from the front door. Flexible and friendly hosts. Easy to get the keys, supermarket across the street.

  Disliked: Be ready for lots of stairs.

  Great stay

  Liked: Clean, spacious, amazing little apartment. Everything you need and perfect location.

  Disliked: It would be good if the host could specify that only one out of two apartments has a balcony. Also there are 7 flights of stairs. Not easy with a lot of luggage.
