  A Better Room, but the Property Still Needs Refurbishment

  Liked: The hotel has a beautiful, distinctive design and a lovely atmosphere. My parents were assigned an Executive Room for their second stay in a week, which was a noticeable improvement over their previous experience. The staff was consistently welcoming, professional, and attentive, and we truly appreciated their hospitality.

  Disliked: Despite the improvement in room category, the property is clearly showing signs of wear and would benefit from refurbishment. The bathrooms, furniture, tables, fixtures, and overall finishes need attention. It is unfortunate because the hotel has so much potential, but the condition of the rooms does not fully reflect the standard one would expect from a property of this category.

  Great Location, Cool Design, & Helpful Staff BUT Significant Maintenance Issues

  Liked: I booked this hotel for my parents during their visit to Florence. A lovely property with a wonderful team, but the condition of the rooms needs considerable improvement to match the overall experience the hotel aims to provide. The team was consistently friendly and accommodating, however, it is evident that the property would benefit from significant maintenance and refurbishment, particularly in the bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, and overall finishes.

  Disliked: Our experience was disappointing due to several maintenance issues. The original room was not in adequate condition, and although the staff kindly arranged a room change, the second room also had multiple problems. The shower light and shower controls were not functioning properly, the hairdryer did not work, and two lamps in the bedroom were also out of order. Additionally, the hotel had already switched off the air conditioning for the autumn season, leaving guests without the option to regulate their room temperature. Opening the windows was not an ideal alternative, as there were no insect screens. Throughout their three-day stay, we communicated these issues to the hotel. Although the staff was attentive, receptive, and genuinely willing to help, the problems were never fully resolved.

  Liked: The staff was very professional and helpful. The rooms were a bit bigger than expected.

  Disliked: Not sure about all the rooms, but the one i stayed at had a problem with the HVAC system in the bathroom, a very small patches of mold are forming above the bath.

  Quirky and expensive

  Liked: Quiet and quirky

  Disliked: Expensive with cramped rooms. As for pet friendly I was asked to sit outside away from the other guests at breakfast for no reason other than I had a dog. I was told this as I was booking in and would have been the same for all meals. If getting to the hotel by car my satnav seemed to take very narrow roads to access it as I was coming from Rome.

  Liked: Good location, just on the edge of the old city center. Good to have an underground parking (although payable).Front desk staff efficient and friendly. Interesting art and design throughout the hotel. Excellent breakfast (please add salmon slices to make it complete..)

  Disliked: Multiple confusing light switches and LED lighting gimmicks in the room. But despite so many little lights, the room is still quite dark. I would prefer some normal bright hotel room lights. The bed's mattress is quite hard (but that is a personal taste of course). Finally: dust and some rubbish under the bed: needs cleaning.
