Exceptional
For the first time in Lisbon it was fine
Liked: Location was great it was close to everything
Disliked: It was too noisy for me. But I did sleep with the windows open
Liked: Our stay left mixed feelings. Tanya, the hostess, was excellent. Polite, tactful, and attentive. However, the apartment didn't live up to our expectations or even the description. There was no TV, even though it was listed in the room description. The renovations were long overdue. You could literally hear the neighbors walking up the stairs to their apartments. There were a huge number of steps to climb, and one of the escalators wasn't working. And, of course, there was dust. The apartment smelled of dust. The kitchen was well-appointed, but the refrigerator was leaking.

Liked: The apartment was in a very convenient location. The owner was extremely helpful. The kitchen was well equipped and functional.
Liked: The property is centrally located and exactly as described. Everything was clean and we didn’t have any issues worth noting. Tânia was also a very friendly and helpful host and communication between us was prompt.
Disliked: The building itself is quite old, so it’s common to hear neighbors in the stairs, hallways as well as upstairs. Light sleepers might have a harder time sleeping here, perhaps ear plugs would be a good option.

Comfortable stay
Liked: The flat is in a convenient part of the city. As with any apartment, it offers you the freedom to cook your meals and wash your clothes.The room I had, in particular, had also a patio. The flat only contains two rooms, one (mine) with a private bathroom and another with a separate (not ensuite) bathroom at the end of the corridor. The kitchen is fairly well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. Tanya, the owner, is as splendid as everyone says she is. She is always available and helpful and her advice has been prompt and highly appreciated.
Disliked: The room itself is not well lit, but I didn't spend time there during the day, so it was ok. The bathroom is not really separated from the bedroom, so it was fine just because I was on my own, otherwise it would have been a bit awkward. Finally, the area is central and perfect for so many things, services and transport, but consider getting a taxi/Uber if you come back late, because the street itself is quiet and lovely, but the nearby square didn't seem at all safe. It's not a criticism of the apartment itself, but I think it is useful to know for solo travellers.
