Exceptional
A calm and budget holiday
Liked: We stayed in a clean and beautiful room. The host gave us a warm welcome and was extremely helpful. Overall, it was a quiet, peaceful, and comfortable environment. The internet speed was excellent. We also used the kitchen and living room, which were quite comfortable. We knew the location was far from the center because we had lived in Lisbon before, so this wasn't a problem; on the contrary, we got to know a new neighborhood. But also, there was a subway station very close. We discovered great locations, restaurants, and a big park very close by.
Disliked: The house was freezing, and there was only a small heater in our room. When we first entered, the room temperature was 14 degrees Celsius, and after 6 days, despite the constantly running heater and occasional sunshine, it only rose to 17 degrees. Coming from Estonia, we weren't too bothered, but the house was cold, and there wasn't an extra heater throughout the home. We had to use shawls, especially when eating and sitting in the living room. Also, the bathroom in our room had a terrible smell. We kept the bathroom door closed, but showering and using the toilet was torture. These are things that can be improved, so I'm not deducting too many points.

Liked: The spacious room was appointed perfectly and had a wonderful enclosed balcony equipped with a desk and chairs, affording a view of the surrounding area. A generous amount of positively delicious cookies were left in a sealed jar for us to enjoy (which we did). What a great welcome that was. The bathroom was luxurious in every aspect and was absolutely spotless, as was the entire apartment. We were met in person by the warm and very genuine Antonio, who showed us around the apartment and gave recommendations for eating. We give Antonio and his property our highest recommendation.
Disliked: Nothing could make our stay better. It is wonderful exactly as it is.

Liked: The room is very comfortable, with a lovely tiny corner on a little balcony with windows. The private bathroom is spacious and new. The flat is wide and clean. Antonio is a very kind and polite host. The position is well connected to the center with subway and buses. Definitely a place I would like to come back to.

Great Lisbon crash pad, perfect for a three night conference stay. Super comfy mattress
Liked: This flat was very well located for my visit to the NOVA public health university for a conference. It's a superb little crash pad for a few days and comfortable in every way, especially the bed mattress. The bathroom is perfect and the little balcony area (indoor) is a bonus with nice light and a sweet table and chair, great for breakfast for one or two. The host is a kind man who telephoned me when I was feeling a bit lost trying to locate the entrance and shared his food with me so I had something to eat late at night on my first evening. I can't express how helpful this was when I was tired and too late for the local supermarket and too brain fatigued to deal with a delivery app. It was beyond kind. He is friendly and trustworthy. I felt very comfortable staying here although it is a family's city flat with a part-time lodger in the other spare room. The flat is well located for Uber pick up's, has banks and supermarkets on the doorstep or a short walk away (nine minutes walk to a larger supermarket, two convenience stores (small food shops) within a one-minute walk). The flat is 4.7km from the air port but not affected by noise. There is a lift for anyone with mobility issues like me that worked the whole time. The flat is on the 4th floor. The room is large and spacious and the attention to small details like a bottle of water and small biscuits and body wash in the shower were much appreciated. I was provided with a large towel and hand towel. The kitchen is fully available and accessible and I made Lemsips every morning using the host's kettle and cups. There is no kettle or fridge in the room but it doesn't matter as the kitchen is a few steps down the corridor. There are no internal stars in the flat if this matters to anyone.
Disliked: Almost nothing. The front door of the building is quite hard to open so I resorted to buzzing the door several times and luckily the host was home and let me in. For anybody who is on the lung-sensitive side, there is a light aroma of pipe smoke or vaping or insense sometimes in the corridor. It's very very light so didn't bother me, but if you had very sensitive lungs to this kind of thing, it might not be for you.
