  We look forward to visiting Lisbon again but would ideally stay a bit closer to the restaurant and city areas next time

  Liked: The room was comfortable.. the bed and pillows we soft and made for a good night sleep. The full size bath tub was an added unexpected bonus.:-) We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. The trainee staff member was outstanding.. her knowledge of sights and places to see in Lisbon was and excellent help and she gave us lots of tips on making the most of our stay.

  Disliked: Our most expensive stay in Portugal at $1700 AUD for 3 days, it was slightly disappointing. The room while functional and clean, was slightly tired and the common areas are showing signs of wear with significant stains on the carpets. If you are a light sleeper such as I am you may find the nearby train disrupts your sleep. We chose this property specifically because it advertises that it has parking available… it does not have parking. When I explained to staff that we had specifically booked because of the convenience of having parking onsite the best they could offer was a shrug and the suggestion that we either find street parking or park in the car park next door which I found out is $50EU per day. If it wasnt so late in the day I would have considered cancelling but we were lucky enough to find a parking space on the street but our car was parked in by others when we went to collect it.

  Comfortable stay with some important issues

  Liked: The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are nice and comfortable, and the location is very convenient, with easy access to the city centre.

  Disliked: We had specifically requested two rooms next to each other, but initially we were given rooms located quite far apart. Eventually, the hotel managed to give us two adjacent rooms (209 and 210), which we appreciated. However, room 209 had an extremely strong cigarette smell. It was clearly heavily smoked in and the smell was so strong that staying in the room was very unpleasant. Room 210, on the other hand, was perfectly fine. Since we were travelling together and needed the rooms to be next to each other, we had no real choice but to stay in room 209. We were also travelling with a small child and had requested a baby cot, but unfortunately it was never delivered to the room. These issues significantly affected an otherwise pleasant stay, especially considering that we were travelling with a child.

  Very disappointing

  Liked: Comfortable room

  Disliked: Breakfast poor. Stale cornflakes and bread- not acceptable for a four star hotel! Advised there was a bar but this was a small area set up with minimal selection of drinks and no bar man!!
