Very good
Would definitely stay here again
Liked: Very convenient location in Alfama and very quiet alley. We could walk to the Castle and several view points inc Gracia church and tram 28 was minutes away. Spacious apartment (apart from the bathroom), nice shower, comfortable beds, we had a very good sleep. The kitchen was really well stocked.
Disliked: The stairs up to the apartment are steep and without a hand rail which wasn't a problem for us but may be for others.
Liked: Excellent location. Well equipped.
Excellent location and well-appointed studio space
Liked: The studio apartment was very clean and comfortable. Apart from the bathroom it was spacious and the kitchen was well equipped. The location is excellent for exploring.
Disliked: Unfortunately the bathroom is not well designed. The toilet has been put too close to the wall in front so you cannot sit comfortably on it. A tall person would struggle to use it at all.
Liked: Apartment was located in an excellent location, within walking distance of many of the main tourist locations - the Castle, National Pantheon, etc. The hosts were always very responsive to our queries and accommodation was very comfortable, complete with a lovely complimentary bottle of wine. The option to store our luggage past the check out time was also very convenient for us:)
Disliked: The front room ground floor apartment is a little bit noisy at night but we were informed of this in advance. Easily drowned out by the air conditioning!
Fantastic location, best if you're travelling light with frequent breaks
Liked: The location was amazing. Really central to almost everything we wanted to see. Everything was within a 15 minute walk, which was appreciated on hot days where we would just go back to the apartment for respite. Having the entire apartment including a laundry machine is great if you're a light packer, especially given the hot sweaty days if you visit in the summer months.
Disliked: Unfortunately one end of the alleyway was obstructed with piles of trash from the nearby restaurants. The only other way to/from the apartment was to go down/up 3 flights of stairs, so this isn't ideal if you are travelling with large rolling luggage (but then again, that goes for all of Alfama). There were smears of dirt on the wall and on the corner of the couch which made me feel the apartment wasn't well cleaned. The bedroom did not have any ventilation and was quite stuffy even with the door wide open. It would be great if a fan could be provided for some air flow. The Dishwasher and Laundry Machine are basically useless without the detergents, which we could not find anywhere in the apartment. We were able to purchase detergent from the convenience store down the street, but it would have been nice to have that provided given pricing is much better in bulk.
Liked: The place was very well equipped, and spacious! It was great to be able to get some laundry done. We felt very comfortable here, and it had great proximity to plenty of restaurants. We really appreciated being able to store our luggage after checkout so we could continue exploring for the day. Our hosts were also very responsive, and we appreciated the lovely wee bottle of wine
Disliked: We were very happy with our stay!
