Fabulous

Liked: I quickly got my bearings. it is convenient
Disliked: The key to the entrance sticks when opening. The staircase is a bit narrow and there is no elevator. Parking is a matter of luck, but with a more thorough search you can find a space.
Liked: The apartment was clean and as shown in the images. It was easier to find the flat as per the instructions provided. They had everything needed for our stay. We didn't use the kitchen at all but it was well equipped.
Disliked: Nothing. Just note that this area is a little inside but since we went by car it was easier to access.
Liked: Everything. the Flat is clean, high standard. The location was perfect for us. All that we needed was close, shopping centre supermarket, restaurant. We enjoyed it.
Disliked: Honestly, I like everything

Liked: Great location — just 500 meters from the metro and the Colombo shopping center. The apartment is spacious, very clean, bright, and smells great. There’s no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs, but we didn’t mind the extra exercise. A lovely welcome note and a sweet-and-sour treat awaited us on arrival. The apartment is well-equipped (coffee machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc.), and each room has its own A/C. We were really impressed — highly recommended!
Disliked: The only thing — which doesn’t really affect our overall impression — is that the apartment is on the third floor and there’s no elevator. Carrying the suitcases can be a bit of a hassle, but as we said, it’s only on the first and last day, so it’s really not a big deal. Everything else was perfect.
Relaxing
Liked: A lovely modern apartment with washing machine, and basic amenities. Relaxing place to stay. They cannot change the stairs situation, but if you have small children, it is tricky to navigate the stairs. We really did enjoy the stay. There was a cot available to us and we had lovely plastic bowls, plates and cutlery for the kids to use. It is walking distance from Colombo shopping centre and Benfica Stadium. There is also a metro stop at the shopping centre so very easy to get into the centre
Disliked: The stove top seemed tricky to operate. We never figured it out. The hot water can turn a bit cold if all in the apartment shower. We were 7. There was not enough toilet paper supplied for our stay compared to the other places we had stayed for the same amount of time. Though we did appreciate that there was, we had to buy the day before we returned home and Continente didn’t have singles.
If you care about safety and communication — I strongly recommend booking elsewhere

Disliked: We had a terrible experience with this property. We arrived and waited outside the apartment with no check-in instructions, despite messaging the host. Eventually, we had to call Booking.com, who finally sent us the check-in info at 6:23 PM — more than two hours after the 4 PM check-in time. I was traveling with two babies, and it was raining, which made the situation even more stressful. While we were waiting, two men were watching us the entire time, standing next to my car and passing by multiple times. I felt extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. To make matters worse, there were homeless people living in a tent right next to the building. When I finally received the instructions to retrieve the key from a rusty lockbox on a street pole, far from the building and exposed to the elements, the same two men approached me and spoke in an unfriendly way. I was scared and unable to open the lockbox quickly. At that point, I didn’t feel safe continuing. We got back into our car, tried to call the host (no answer), then called Booking.com again — who also couldn’t reach the host after multiple tries. Out of desperation, we left and stayed at an airport hotel. I never entered the apartment and immediately requested a refund or at least a partial refund. The host refused, claiming they had provided check-in information “in a timely manner” — 2 hours and 23 minutes late — and offered no support or understanding. Please be aware: if you ever need assistance from the host, they are unresponsive, unhelpful, and possibly inexperienced (they also couldn’t find the passport data I submitted in advance). If you care about safety and communication — I strongly recommend booking elsewhere.
