  Liked: The location was good. Close to a small play area and to supermarkets.

  Disliked: Sadly, this property was not clean. We did accidentally arrive early to the property and found the beds weren't made and so I contacted the host who informed us that we were an hour early for check in and the property hadn't been cleaned yet. We apologised and left around 14:15. The host then contacted us and asked if we would be ok to return at around 4pm, to which we agreed. We came back at the agreed time and met with the host and another person still changing beds (they also had a dog in the property) We were welcomed inside and the host mentioned that there was a cycle of laundry in the dryer and we were asked if we would put it in a laundry basket once it had finished. The beds were made and the 2 people finally left. The host then returned with toiletries and profusely apologised for the cleaning not being done sooner. We told him it was ok. However, once they left I started to notice other things like the tap in the kitchen was broken and they had left all the washing up piled up on the drainer. The previous guests food had been left in the fridge. Then I went to make a drink and noticed a clump of hair in the sink. I then went to have a shower and noticed that the floor was completely covered in water as the shower had been leaking. The shower cubicle wasn't cleaned properly (if at all) as I found hairs on the shower screen. The following morning after a poor night's sleep on extremely flat, lumpy pillows I woke up to hundreds of bed bug bites all over my body. After being quite upset about this we decided to contact the host and sent him photos of the bites, he was extremely apologetic and said he would like to send us some money as a good will gesture. We sent our bank details across and we have since not heard from him or received any form of compensation. Such a disgraceful experience.

  Great vibe in the area, comfortable and suited all our needs

  Liked: Very nice local feel and very convenient for getting to the river for floating. Bus was great for getting back into the city.

  Disliked: Lighting was a bit dark and ceiling lights need attention.

  Disappointing

  Liked: Owners responded quickly.

  Disliked: It does not have air conditioning, even though it is repeatedly advertised as having it. The bathroom didn't have any body soap to use. They brought some next day. The shower is very small, and the opening is only about 18 inches. The bathroom door frame is damaged, and the door would not shut. There wasn't any detergent when I went to wash. I had to go to the laundromat the next morning to buy individual packs of detergent. The dryer was full of towels and bed linens. They did not have additional trash bags. Their advertising for A/C wad false, I. would not have booked this in July.
