  Great base for short stay in Bern!

  Liked: Great place! The accommodation was a very good size with lots of space and natural light, it had all the utensils / facilities you need for self-catering, the beds / seating were comfortable, the shower was good, the wrap-around balcony was lovely, the parking was ideal for us. There was a Coop store (and other shops) literally around the corner / two minutes walk away. The tram line was not in use when we were there so I cannot comment on how easy it was to use public transport to get in to Bern but it took 10 minutes to drive in. I would happily recommend this as a place to stop in Bern!

  Disliked: There are only two things to note here, and they are very minor in nature. Firstly, we stopped here when it was very warm and while they had provided us with one fan, the fact that this had two bedrooms and they knew three people were stopping there I would suggest another one should have been provided (particularly considering we paid £450 for two nights!). In addition, and while this did not bother us one bit, it does feel right to mention it...the apartment block is mainly made up of independent living for seniors, with a handful of apartments available for renting by the general public. As I say, this was absolutely no issue for us, and in fact, it was lovely chatting to some of the residents, but we only found this out as we arrived to stop there, so I thought it would be wise to note this to fellow travellers!

  Liked: We were travelling by motorbikes touring Europe we had rode from Holland to Luxembourg then Baden Baden in the black forest. We rode here avoiding motorways and toll and the heat was extreme over 38 all the way, when we got here the lovely lady on reception seen us flagging with the heat and offered us some ice cream (lovely touch). The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything we needed the heat was unbelievable the apartment did have a fan and electric blinds outside which were a good addition as every bedroom and our living room had a balcony. The apartment is built in an old peoples home which is very strange when you arrive but no bother really, we never ate in the restaurant but it looked good. The area is superb for bikers as you are less thst 40 mins away from Thunsee Brienz and the Alps we did the lakes tour and the Furka, Stusten and Grimsel pass it was superb we also took the tram to Bern 15 mins ride and stops 2 mins from the door, overall great stay and I would come again and highly recommend it.
