Perfect mountain retreat for families and friends. Everything you need to make amazing memories!

Liked: We chose this property for the view, the pool, and the opportunity to book with friends. They booked one of the other apartments and we had an amazing weekend. The pool was warm and perfect for the kids after a day of hiking!

Disliked: The lighting was poor throughout the apartment but it did not bother us! The temperature was a bit too hot in the apartment even with the thermostat turned down but we just opened the windows and it was fine.

    Very nice stay overall

Liked: Spacious accommodation with killer view of Matterhorn. Much closer than property photos. Kitchen is very well equipped. Lovely indoor pool 😁

Disliked: Pillows are flat and uncomfortable. Need to upgrade or supply extra. We asked for two extra pillows but management replied “ that’s how the apartment comes “. Very late check in 5.00 pm and no luggage storage. Wanted 100chf to check in at 2.00 pm and 50 chf for a 3.00pm check in.

Liked: We really love this property. It was extremely comfortable and the entire vibe of the facility and the room itself was amazing for that mountain experience. We got an extremely good view of the Matterhorn and our balcony was tucked away, surrounded by trees and rocks, which made it feel like we were not even in a town. The beds were very, very comfortable and we loved the pool. Good communication with the staff and they were awesome to work with.

Disliked: The only thing that we really didn’t like about this accommodation was that the check-in was at 5 PM (just something to beware of) which felt very late however they were very helpful and willing to work with us on that and got us a room available as soon as it was clean.

Lovely but small apartment with lovely indoor swimming pool

Liked: Chalet Kisseye is perched high in the Zermatt valley and overlooks the town with a breath-taking view of Matterhorn. The indoor swimming pool is perfect for relaxing in after climbs and walks among the mountains. The shower is great and the apartment was perfectly clean and well provisioned with plates and cooking utensils.

Disliked: We stayed in the smallest apartment, please bear this in mind. The bed is barely queen sized - too small for me to sleep with my son. So I ended up sleeping on the floor and sofa. Not great. Also, the fridge makes a constant noise and this woke me up most nights. If you are light sleeper, please bring earplugs. I ended up turning the fridge off by reducing the thermostat. Finally, there is no microwave oven, which is surprising.

A once in a lifetime view from great accommodation that you have to work a little bit to get to!

Liked: This property is very comfortable for a family as it has multiple bathrooms, bedrooms and alot of space to spread out. The property was very clean and well maintained. The unobstructed view of the Matterhorn is this property’s selling point- it is an amazing view! Overall our stay was great.

Disliked: Pillows- The hosts should consider having a few more pillow options as these pillows provide absolutely zero head support and are off the scale in terms of having any support at all. While as travellers we expect some differences to what we might have at home, these pillows actually impacted sleeping as I am surprised these are even considered pillows. Even folding them in half didn’t work to get some head support. The walk up- after reading the prior reviews about the hike up, we downsized our luggage and left most of it back at the Tasch car park. This was a good idea as the last 1/4 of the walk from the train station to the unit is straight up and a taxing climb for all ages. We inquired about the cost of a cab more out of interest and it is about 50 CHF from train to accommodation. We did the walk about twice a day and without luggage it is good exercise but I can’t imagine doing it with much more than a smaller backpack on your back depending on your fitness level. It is definitely something to consider as you decide what your days in Zermatt will entail and whether your budget includes multiple taxi fares.

Fantastic view, difficult to get to but overall happy with our stay

Liked: Location and view of the Matterhorn was excellent- but you’ve got to earn it by climbing the hills and sets of stairs to get to the property.

Disliked: Some form of aircon/fan would have been very helpful, given the weather, this should have been a straightforward way to make the stay easier for guests
