Exceptional
Just book it. You won't regret it!
Liked: Fabulous resort with tons of things to offer. Waking up and seeing Matterhorn from the room was such a great experience. The resort is close to everything, located on a quiet street, and offers great breakfasts and an amazing spa. Don't think twice!!
Very cozy

Exceptional in every way
Liked: Location was central and everything was within close walking distance, but also just out the way of the busy Main Street. The spa had adult only areas with pools only accessible for adults after a certain time which was also perfect for us. We ate twice at the restaurant La Ginabelle and both times the menu and food was exceptional. We could not fault it at all. The hotel owner is very present and involved in the day to day runnings, we saw him daily going above and beyond both for ourselves and others. A very kind and generous man. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room even got a little decoration for my birthday! I highly highly recommend staying here for your visit to Zermatt.
Great location, Great Facilities
Liked: Great location - Central to main tourist area of Zermatt. Approximately 5 minutes walk to Zermatt Train Station. Large bed. Great facilities. Clean room. Buffet breakfast - wide range of selection. The staff take your bags to the room which is a huge plus as well.
Disliked: The lights. Quite difficult to work how to turn off. My suggestion is to had a blurb in guest handbook on how to use them. I rang reception on the first night has I was having difficulty, and their suggestion was to just take out the power card, which them meant now power to charge my phone over night. So, for anyone reading this + button is turn lights on, - button is to dim, but you can just press the - button to turn off. Cooling - in the guest handbook it’s say you can control the temperature in your room, but the thermostat wouldn’t adjust to my preferred temperature. Otherwise I had a good stay.
Great place to stay and explore Zermatt
Liked: We absolutely loved this hotel. It was an excellent resort with three heated pools, both indoor and outdoor, as well as a beautiful day spa area where we could relax and unwind. Pool towels were provided, which was a great touch. Our room was very spacious and even had a partial view of the Matterhorn. The highlight, however, was the restaurant. The evening meal was absolutely exceptional and, without a doubt, the best meal we have had so far in Europe. A wonderful hotel and a very memorable stay!
The Hotel of Zermatt
Liked: I loved how professional everything was dealt with upon arriving. We had an issue where our door somehow was left open and they immediately investigated and assured everything was ok. The spa, hot tubs and service was next level. We were upgraded to a better room, because they had availability. That kind of service is something you rarely find for what you pay.
Disliked: Not a single thing comes to mind.

Please note that Zermatt is car-free and can only be reached by train. Guests can drive to Täsch and continue to Zermatt by train or taxi. Hotel La Ginabelle offers a shuttle service from and to the Zermatt Train Station between 08:00 and 19:00 on prior request.Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required.
