Extremely Disappointed, don't pay for breakfast!! Go elsewhere

Liked: Bed and pillows were ok

Disliked: A narrow room with sealed glazed window that you cannot see out off. Felt very claustrophobic. Room 221! We paid for breakfast, expecting an actual breakfast. You were given a menu if lite bite, which means porridge or toast, and orange juice. You have to pay if you want a actual breakfast. There was no coffee machines. Unlimited breakfast was a cereal and fruit (minimal selection) When our breakfast came, parts were missing like the jam and butter. Other guest were passing me their Jam as waitress continued to bring new customers to their seat, instead of completing their 1st task! Overall very disappointed, as well as other guests... We did not bother going to breakfast the second morning! Pointless.

    Poor breakfast offering

Liked: Location very good for theatre and shopping

Disliked: Was not happy that only continental breakfast was offered. When I booked this hotel on booking.com it said ‘Breakfast included. ‘. This was misleading. Why did it not stipulate it was continental? Toast or a simple croissant were charged as an extra. Very poor. Service in dining room excellent. Full marks to the waitress who was dealing with disgruntled guests over the ‘continental’ breakfast on offer!

    Pleasant overall

    Liked: Location perfect!

Disliked: Staff we rather disorganised. Meal preboooked weeks in advance in restaurant on arrival day but looked a complete mess as they had had a party and not told us so we had to eat in the bar. Not ideal.

nice hotel, great location, terrible breakfast

Liked: The room was fantastic and i was offered an upgrade to my original booking. The location of the hotel is great.

Disliked: The breakfast was possibly the worst I've ever experienced in a hotel. The 'buffet' was non-existent, just a couple of bowls of cereal. I waited to get into the breakfast room, then waited a long time to place my order, then waited a long time for my order to arrive, which was just two pieces of cold toast, only cooked on one side, and a croissant that was still doughy on the bottom. An otherwise excellent stay was spoilt by this awful breakfast.

Liked: The location was very good

Disliked: The view from window was terrible builders yard. The pub out side was very noisy due to people outside. Parking was £25 a night so parked elsewhere. Didn't like the breakfast pricing so went somewhere else. We have used the place a few times before but it seems to have gone downhill a bit.
