Really great all round. Would definitely stay there again. Exceptional value

Liked: Spotless, stylish bathroom, lovely shower gel etc, cosy attractive room. Excellent breakfast.

Disliked: Slightly noisy corridor, strange wardrobe in a cupboard along with the tea and coffee. Those annoying coathangers.

Liked: We liked the cosy bar and we enjoyed the bar's happy hour which is available to guests. We also had a delicious breakfast. Location is great and, though the guest parking was full, we found parking in the public parking lot situated just around the corner from the hotel.

Disliked: Though my room 26 was very nice and in the main building (albeit on the roadside with no good sound insolation - so earplugs are needed), friends of mine were in room 32 which was not in the main building and they said it smelled of damp and mold - unfortunately there were no spare rooms to move into.

A lovely hotel in the centre of town

Liked: We had opted for a Junior Suite, which was generously sized, with a super king size bed, a settee and a lovely wooden desk rather than the usual standard built-in unit. The en-suite had a bath with shower over and large, good quality bath towels. There was a reasonable selection of cold and hot options for breakfast, and when it arrived the full English was hot and the sausage was delicious.

Disliked: The hotel doesn't have a restaurant for an evening meal, although it does have an arrangement with a couple of nearby restaurants. We had dinner at Le Cafe du Soleil but didn't think to ask the hotel to book our table so missed out on the discount, however we couldn't fault the food or the service (or the cocktails!). The hotel parking is expensive and paid for through the Ringo app - £15 for 24 hours, which starts at 1pm. (I think you can also pay at reception, but we used the app.) We had no problem parking each day but it isn't possible to book.

Great hotel, central and conveniently plsced

Liked: Good room, decent breakfast, helpful staff particularly at breakfast, good location just outside the city gate, pleasant bar in the hotel

Disliked: Slightly fussy needing to use your single room card to turn on the electrics in the dark. Parking is unreliable and one section (although indicated on a sign) is so narrow you will scratch your car if you use it so should be closed down, bar closed very early (10 ish) on one of our nights.
