Guest reviews
Very good
A very relaxed stay, great staff and well positioned for the city
Liked: Very well situated within walking distance of central Canterbury. Free parking and most importantly, very friendly, helpful staff. Husband particularly liked the choice of beer at the bar.
Disliked: All was fine, not luxurious but neither was the price!
Liked: Extremely convenient family room with 4 singles. Fantastic breakfast, friendly staff. Handy to have a spacious car park.
Convenient and relaxing stay in Canterbury
Liked: Excellent for parking, comfy bed, great food (we also ate an evening meal). Only a short walk into the city. Really had everything we needed for our short break.
Disliked: Decor a little dated - but hard to find fault really.
A comfortable stay, but a bigger room next time please
Liked: Great location for exploring Canterbury and good value for 2 nights. Very friendly staff
Disliked: The toilet in my room was squashed between the bath and the towel rail making it very uncomfortable to go to the toilet. The hotel decor is a little dated and needs freshening.
Comfy room
Liked: Most of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Some weren't.
Disliked: The window didnt seal properly when closed, allowing the draft in & I got told it was exceptional due to bad weather.... Although I did get offered a room swap eventually, i just thought there was no need for the comment made about the window being exceptional due to bad weather. There shouldn't be gaps in windows that big that its making the room cold. Also got questioned on if I paid for drinks. Also photos look wayy better than it is.
Well priced for my stay in Canterbury, not luxurious, but just a base to use
Liked: Lovely little hotel. Very near to the town, easy to walk to.
Disliked: I had a single room. Although comfortable it was very small. I wouldn’t want to stay long because it felt like a care home. Just the bare minimum of space and facilities.
