Fabulous
The stay met our expectations and will return again
Liked: The breakfast was brilliant just what we both liked. The evening meal choice was also to our liking The evening waitress Emma was polite and very knowledgeable also helped with her local knowledge.
Disliked: The parking charges at £20 per 24 hrs.The lack of available spaces as it's a 1 st come basis
Liked: Nice room, comfy.
Disliked: Corridors and lifts a bit shabby
I chose this hotel as a rare treat while attending a funeral. It did not offer the comfort I was hoping for

Disliked: My room 409 was small poky for the hotel and cost. Dark room poor lighting AC difficult to navigate and I was chilly. No extra blankets No extras in bathroom. Worn towel
Fabulously historic and classic
Liked: The historical identity of Old Shire Hall remained intact. Was a fantastic nod to the past with a modern feel to the stay
Disliked: The only thing that let it down was the fact people were using the main entrance as a smoking area.This was a letdown for me and did not fit with the overall image of the hotel
A good place to stay but avoid the restaurant
Liked: The hotel was good..
Disliked: Pity about the restaurant. Both dinner and breakfast left a lot to be desired
Great location and rooms, the restaurant and bar need to priories it’s customer friendly service once more

Disliked: The restaurant has recently changed the bar staff had little interest in serving we have stayed multiple times and it was a stark change. Staff seemed unhappy.
