Very good
Really good value and brilliant beds!
Liked: It was lovely and peaceful. The beds were really comfy and it was nice and quiet for the location. Each room was done to a great standard and the property felt really safe.
Disliked: The property smelt of dog when we went in. I was warned a dog was there the day before, which is fine, but an air freshener could have been used! The sealant around the shower also really needs sorting, as it currently looks quite shabby and like several layers had just been added on top.
Bad
Liked: The location was good. Walking distance to town
Disliked: The house had not been cleaned. Rubbish bins full, a hoover abandoned in the living room. The heating did not work downstairs, only some heat in the 1st floor radiators. It was cold. Some sash windows don't close properly, letting in street noise and cold air. The bed in the main bedroom had springs pushing through the mattress.. We moved to a hotel the next day. The owner agreed a refund for the shortened stay but so far this has not happened.
Lovely place
Liked: It was really nice for our family to have our own rooms and we enjoyed being able to prepare our own meals. We loved Durham.
Disliked: Leaving Durham
