  Unbelievably hot!

  Liked: Very lovely place and clean!

  Disliked: Windows down stairs and in the second bedroom are stuck shut, we over heated! No fans available. The landlord lied in my complaint saying they opened and there were fans available- when I fact he told me via message that I could open the first bedroom and bathroom window it would help! This didn’t help at all, the second bedroom was extremely hot still! I’ve never uped and left when booking a weekend with my children. We love our mini breaks away, so for us to up and leave within a few hours was not ok! I’m refused a refund due to Conner (landlord) lying!

  Excellent short stay in wonderful city centre location

  Liked: Wonderful city centre location. Modern kitchen and bathroom facilities. Convenient public car park 1 minute away.

  Disliked: Minor things. Couldn’t open downstairs windows so very stuffy. Handwashing dispenser in bathroom empty.

  Avoid - a bad experience

  Disliked: We were prepared to pay the inflated prices during this week in order to attend a graduation. Things got off to a bad start when the code we were given via text did not unlock the key box. Attempts to contact the host failed and we were obliged to carry all our belongings back to the car. We waited elsewhere and when the host made contact later with the correct code, he said that the reason we’d been given the wrong code was because the system did not update – whatever that means. As mentioned by a previous reviewer we soon understood the reason for the unusual instruction not to read the key code aloud. There were several individuals in very close vicinity to the front door who appeared to be under the influence of drugs. It was very hot but the fan provided did not work and because of the threatening atmosphere outside we did not feel safe to open the windows. The evening and most of the night was blighted by sounds of shouting, swearing, arguing, and the gate nearby banging, resulting in virtually no sleep. We set off the next morning exhausted and anxious on what was supposed to be a day celebrating a special milestone. Although generally clean, the property reeked of cigarette smoke and there was hair on the carpet. It’s not plausible that the host isn’t aware of the issues described - AVOID!!!

  Not great

  Liked: Upstairs clean. The front bedroom which we used clean, Bathroom clean. Down stairs clean except for floor in kitchen which was sticky.

  Disliked: The smell of cigarette smoke as soon as you open the front door hits you straight away. Once you open the front door you are straight into open plan living room / kitchen. Upstairs consisted of two bedrooms, the back bedroom again stunk of cigarette smoke and there was no way someone could have slept in there. We had to use the front bedroom, which was unfortunate as the traffic outside down the one way road during the night was really bad, and no sleep was had. This was heightened by people shouting and screaming walking past. If the back bedroom had been smoke free we could have slept in there and had a better night sleep. The front door needs replacing as its drafty. No hot water out of taps. Only heating we could see and find was portable heaters. Back kitchen door needs replacing as what looks like a cat flap all smashed in. Had to call the owner as when trying the lock box the code they gave 24hrs prior to arriving didn't work. They had changed it the morning of arrival and failed to mention. We booked for two nights but only stayed for one, due to the constant smell of cigarette smoke.

  Liked: Lovely modern apartment in a good location for us

  Disliked: Foot rests on the stools were not secure and kept dropping onto the floor when used. Couldn't get the TV to work and no instructions provided to help.

  Disliked: The shower is piss poor, front door is like it’s been kicked in, back door is the same also. No one knew where the keys were so there was the worry of someone else having keys whilst out stay
