Liked: Easy check in, well appointed room. Breakfast was very good.

Disliked: Car park not well signed from road. Sat in vehicle outside in pouring rain.. Called reception for directions, no answer. Transferred to operator, still no answer. Repeatedly no answer. Found entrance eventually. Not a good start Visited local theatre, went to hotel bar for post performance drink. One bar person on duty, bar itself covered in unwashed glasses. Asked for a Baileys to be told they didn't have any. Not good enough for a hotel of this kind.

    Just Ok

Liked: There were a few let downs. The car park had most of its bays blocked off & it’s quite tight to navigate. All the bedroom windows had externals nets over them, this could be a health & safety thing but it felt like we were in a cage. Our first room had such an incredibly loud fan or something something from the ceiling, it was a constant whirring noise, there was no way to stop it, we couldn’t tell where it was coming from. The receptionist was lovely & moved us but the room we moved to was tiny & smelt like drains so we were moved again, to another much smaller room. I can’t fault how it was handled, very professionally and we were given a discount off the bill which was very much appreciated. Location is really good & the king rooms are massive with good sized beds! Just a bit of a shame for our stay
