Fabulous
Perfect stay for exploring Harrogate
Liked: Everything it was so beautiful and spotlessly clean.
Disliked: Nothing we didn’t like
Beyond disappointing website photos do not reflect reality!
Liked: The journey home after only being in the property less than an hour! We have been told be Booking.com to edit this review in response to the host lies and defamation of character! The host has blatantly lied saying we stayed there for a free holiday! Which makes no sense why would she give us a FULL refund, had we stayed the host would have demanded her money back! she told us that she was sending cleaners in that night to clean the property. we didn't touch the beds at all again more lies! Booking.com asked us to send all the photos and evidence of our conversation with the host, we even got a call from Booking.com and the confirmed we had NOT stayed at the property and the photos did not match up with what was on the website. Please be aware of host taking no responsibility and then lying. I'm more than happy for her to share any evidence that we stayed in the property for two nights free of charge! ( Never going to happen!)
Disliked: We arrived from the back to property to find our parking spot, the back entrance to the lobby takes you up a flight of stairs which could be a lot more welcoming! On stepping into property we walked into a shared entrance way. The entrance was dark with only two lights working and it contained old used furniture with a fridge freezer and remains of cardboard boxes rug against the wall! It wasn't a great first impression! We walked into property upstairs and an overwhelming smell of dampness and the place needed airing and also cleaning! We had our daughter with us (8) she was so looking forward to using the big bath after a long day out! This is where we realised the photos on website did not match up to reality! The enamel on bath was cracked and falling away badly! The bath was dirty as a result and unusable, sadly the bath was eroding! So no way could it would have put our daughter in that and no shower. Nor would we have got in! We then went and looked through the rest of house! Again photos do not resemble the reality of what we had booked! Kitchen sink was filthy! Large cracks in walls peeling wall paper, sunken sofa that was so uncomfortable and felt dirty ( needs deep clean)pipe leading from bathroom was filthy and this had not been cleaned in a long time! At this point ( approx 20min after arriving) we agreed we could not stop here and contacted the host but unfortunately she did not pick up her messages ( she later informed us she was away on holiday) we contacted booking.com straight away and they asked us to send photos as evidence via link. We did this and and then we had a contact for the host mother, who was very apologetic and understanding and said she would try to get in touch with her daughter. We explained we could not stop at the property with everything that we had encountered and asked for a full refund. We left the keys in the box and we had no choice but to return home and our little holiday was ruined abruptly. We got a full refund
A fantastically equipped and cozy apartment. Perfect for families of little ones
Liked: We loved that the host left us some coffee and a couple of things to nibble on. We also absolutely loved how well equipped it was for us and our children
Beautiful apartment with so much character and perfect hosts
Liked: Absolutely beautiful apartment with so much character, had everything we needed for a weekend stay. Hosts left chocolate lindt teddies on the pillows in bedrooms, kitchen had selection of teabags, coffee, crisps and biscuits and they even gave advice and recommendations about where to go and what to do. The Chinese takeaway at the end of the street was delicious aswell.
Disliked: Nothing negative to say.
Our host was just brilliant in giving us local information of places to go and visit plus recommendations for food. She
Liked: An amazing period property with some quirky fixtures and fittings.
Disliked: Nothing at all … it was just gorgeous
Perfect 10/10
