Bathroom was not cleaned in a week

Liked: Good position and comfortable bed

Disliked: The shared bathroom was not once cleaned from when I arrived on Monday to when I left Friday. I could see the same dirt on the floor and the same soaking, dirty bath mat and the shower was constantly in terrible conditions. Truly appalling and worse than any hostel I’ve been in. I knew check in was online, but to hear the owners being loud in the kitchen right next to my room (which is locked for guests) when I checked in on the evening without even coming to say hello is quite uncomfortable. The room has absolutely no services besides a bed and desk, not even a kettle or a glass. Given that the kitchen is unavailable to guests, this would be a fair minimum. There is a camera pointing to the entrance and kitchen door with a notice saying the structure had hidden cameras. I’m sure that’s not the case but again, not even having seen who is hosting, this is quite unsettling. The room locks are also not very safe (mine was also mounted upside down…)

Liked: Excellent location, very convenient for the centre of Oxford. Some nice paintings on the walls as well. More visually appealing than most budget accommodation.

Disliked: The bedroom was tiny, and there was only one bathroom. Aside from the bed, there were very few comforts.

  Excellent place and amazing location

Liked: Close to the city centre, loads of coffee places around and easy to get to the place even by bus which is very nice

Disliked: The rooms are not sound proof so I could hear the conversations people were having quite clearly in the staff room until late night

A great stay - location, price, cleanliness, wifi are top tier

Liked: The location is perfect. You’re within 15 minutes of all the university venues. The street is very quiet, so you can enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Liked: Great location, close to the city centre without being busy; good value for money. The check in/out process was clear and straightforward. The staff were quick to reply to any questions, and warm and friendly in all communications!

  Enjoyed my stay

Liked: Quiet, close to a bus stop, easy check-in, reasonable price

Disliked: I missed only a hair drier and an abat-jour for the bedlamp
