  A clean and comfy stopover in Summertown

  Liked: I have stayed here several times so I knew what to expect. The staff at reception are always very helpful and do everything they can to help. On this occasion I arrived very early because I had an appointment in town. I was able to park my car at the hotel and they even moved a vehicle for me so that I could plug into one of the charge points. I was able to go to my meeting and return for check-in. My room was clean and comfortable with plenty of hot water in the shower. I was especially grateful to them because I had mucked up my initial booking and even though they didn't have to they reimbursed me the whole sum. I was incredibly grateful about this and I am looking forward to my next trip to Oxford.

  Disliked: Although this is not Easy Hotel's direct responsibility, the charging points are a little unreliable. I had to try a few before I found one that connected with my car. Once it was working it was great - but it was fiddly initially.

  Parking scam

  Disliked: Be aware, the hotel can refuse to sell you parking when you’re parked in the car park already. By the time you have queued to check in and pay for parking, you have stayed long enough to be fined. It’s a horizon parking scam.

  STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE A RENTAL CAR!! (AND DON'T TRUST STAFF)

  Liked: Clean room. Good location. Easy check in.

  Disliked: I booked this spot because it said it had parking. After I booked and paid I was informed that they had limited car parks and that it was one a first come first serve basis so I could not reserve. Not a problem. I showed up and all the parks were spoken for. However, the front desk worker said I could temporarily park in one of the empty bays at no charge while I checked in. So I did. Just received a notice from Hertz that I received I go fined to 51 pounds to unload! Plus an an additional 42 pounds (from Hertz because they paid on my behalf). So now I'm out 93 pounds for something I was told I was safe to do. The fine was more than the entire stay. The rooms were also cramped. You could not open a suitcase unless you put it on the bed. Overall i wanted to like this place but this fine has made me just want to warn others. Don't listen to the staff. Don't trust what they say.

  Dreadfully disappointing

  Liked: The property was clean

  Disliked: The room was ridiculously small. There was hardly any space around the sides of the beds so to move around you had to shuffle sideways and only one person at a time. There was nowhere to hang clothes or even store bags.

  shockingly bad service rooms staff

  Liked: Booked 3 double rooms arrived and only 2 available were told first come first served. i will never book this hotel again. chips and mayonnaise all over the lift and stairs. a cup of soup cup for the bathroom glass. we will be in oxford a lot and are looking for alternative hotels. £104 per room and not even the correct room appalling service.

Good to know

Please bring a passport or government issued photo ID along with a credit card for the lead guest.

Check-in is from 3pm, with early check-in available from 11am for a fee, subject to availability. Check-out is by 10am, with late check-out available until 1pm for a fee, also subject to availability. Please check with reception upon arrival.

Guests are also able to leave their bags in storage for a small fee.

Children must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or above. Recent photo ID may be required to verify the age of adults.

To help keep prices low and protect the environment, bedrooms are cleaned every six days at no extra cost. Complimentary towels are available from reception, and additional room cleaning can be purchased if required.

Bookings of six or more rooms must be made with the easyHotel Group Bookings Team.

Dogs up to 24 in are welcome, with a maximum of two per room for an additional fee payable at check-in. Guide dogs stay free of charge.

A deposit may be required at the property.
