Good
Lovely Stay in Oxford
Liked: Great location and excellent breakfast.
Disliked: Stained sheets, dirty carpet, unmanned reception, and absolutely zero soundproofing in the rooms – to the degree that I could hear people turning on light switches in the rooms next to me. It was like trying to sleep in a train station.
Liked: Cozy room on the ground floor. Everything is new in the room. Kettle and tea/coffee/milk, iron in the room. Good breakfast. 30 min walk from the center. Lovely and picturesque area.
Disliked: No hair dryer, toilet brush. We could hear the neighbors upstairs very clearly.
Practical and convenient overnight stay
Liked: Comfortable, spacious (by Oxford standards) room in quiet residential area. Nothing special but very practical and (surprisingly for budget hotel) with decent bar and restaurant. Wifi worked fine and free overnight on street parking with option for paid hotel car park.
Disliked: At this price point I could not have expected anything more.
Disliked: They do not clean the room
Not the greatest Best Western I’ve stayed at. A shame as I have stayed at several
Liked: Location was good
Disliked: Was upgraded to an executive room. Toilet seat needs attention. Paint flaking off walls near the window. Cobwebs in the corners. Sat in dining room for 10 minutes before a member of staff realised I was there and eventually took my order.
