  OK but only OK

  Liked: Loved the quirky decor, bed was really comfortable. Fantastic location.

  Disliked: The walls were paper thin so I could hear entire conversations, coughing, sneezing and going to the toilet (!) from other rooms. I don't know if my room was near a vent from the kitchen but it smelled like bacon the whole time, and even though I'm home I've had to wash all the clothes I had with me because I could still smell it!

  Room changed after complaint, but heating remained broken

  Disliked: Very disappointing experience. The first room was completely different from the advertised photos, so the hotel changed our room after we complained. However, the heating problem remained unresolved in the second room as well, and we had to use a portable heater. The ceiling-mounted fire alarm device in the first room also appeared damaged, raising serious safety concerns. This level of accommodation is unacceptable, and I would not recommend this hotel.

  Nice hotel but bad sound proofing

  Liked: Quirky styling and good breakfast

  Disliked: The noise from the room above was SOOO loud and it was until 1.30am

  A nice home from home

  Liked: Good selection of cold and hot options. Nice coffee.

  I have praised some aspects of the hotel but I was glad to leave

  Liked: Brilliant fruit salad made by Andy. Good full English breakfast.Staff very nice. Bathroom spotless. Wi-Fi free.

  Disliked: My room was tiny. I got trapped in the shower for some minutes because I couldn’t open the sliding door. There was no alarm bell to call for help. I was shouting but no one came. Finally I managed to shake the door open. No grab rails but shower small so it didn’t matter. Slippery floor in shower. The second time I used it I left the door a little ajar and all was well. The TV channels were sometimes hard to navigate.

  Wouldn't stay again

  Liked: Interesting property, decent size room.

  Disliked: Bad pillows. Miserable and rude staff. No water in the room at all. Terrible breakfast
