Fabulous
Liked: Beautiful accomodation, very comfortable bed and exceptionally clean, breakfast was wonderful
Disliked: Arrived tired from a long trip, saw advertised in the room, fresh cookies, fresh milk in the fridge, none of this was actually available, apparently you have to ask at Maison Pierre restaurant where you have your breakfast, a kind member of staff there provided two cookies wrapped in cling film. Although the room and breakfast far outways this small issue, seeing FRESH milk and cookies advertised in the room was such a delight to see, only to find there wasn't any. If the advertisement in the room on this could be changed and a notice given to say to ask at the restaurant, it would have helped us a lot, but again this is a very small issue on what was an outstanding place to stay. The only other thing was it would have been great to have a small bottle of water in the fridge, although glasses are provided, I tried to get tap water in the night due to being thirsty and the cold water was warm, but again a very very small issue and no doubt personal choice in the water available.

A historic gem and a unique accommodation experience
Liked: The unique property is full of character, the rooms are large, spacious, clean and well appointed. It was fascinating to use the wooden shutters instead of curtains. The cookies were a lovely welcome. The room has a generously stocked hamper and mini-bar at reasonable prices for a hotel. The breakfast was just a short stroll across the courtyard and was of an excellent standard. It was great to have the same choices as a ‘regular’ restaurant patron. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The free parking for your stay and the welcome drinks were a nice extra.
Disliked: The bathroom did suffer from a drain smell, but there was a notice regarding the old original drains therein. This didn’t spoil our stay and we will be back.
Liked: A surprisingly and excellent location the accommodation and food was extremely good
Disliked: Nothing to dislike
Grnd
Liked: It was grand
Disliked: The overall size of the room.
