Okay for the price I payed I would stay again but it is very basic

Liked: It was good for the price I payed. Room was spacious and had a good sized tv

Disliked: The toilet was not flushing properly, I told receptionist when we checked out which she said she’d let maintenance know. The only thing I noticed that wasn’t clean was the mirror there were spots all over it just needed a wipe down. For a big tv I’d like if it had Netflix or Disney that I could sign in myself

A cheap, therefore good value, central stay in the city. Lots needing attention though

Liked: Sten (from Estonia) on reception duty provided a very friendly and informative welcome and was extremely helpful in addressing all the issues we had with the room as detailed below. Our double room had been upgraded to a family room as a Genius member which provided more space. Result! Limited power sockets so required a 5 metre extension lead to power by CPAP machine. Sten kindly searched and provided this by the time we came back from dinner at his recommended Bella Ciao over the road. Large parking area is available to the rear though is not clearly signed. The breakfast was plentiful, hot and tasty with the two waitresses being particularly friendly, helpful and efficient. A nice Gluten-free breakfast section too.

Disliked: The £10, 24hr parking fee rather came as a surprise as I believe it was not mentioned in their blurb. The whole hotel is rather dated and could do with an upgrade. Our room didn't have any power sockets by the bed! The remote handset didn't have any batteries in! and despite multiple visits to reception for replacements it still didn't work. Sten hunted down similar TV makes around the hotel for a replacement remote which having been to three other rooms eventually one worked. As this took some time we saw Gogglebox on Ch4+1! The reading light on the left side of the bed plus one globe in the ceiling rose did not illuminate or was missing. Sten took note to report to housekeeping. I have no doubt that he did as was clearly embarrassed by simple housekeeping inadequacies. There is only a low voltage ceiling rose in the large bathroom, no extractor fan or mirror light plus one of the small rounded chrome screw covers was missing. All reported/shown to Sten.
