  very agreeable

  Liked: Check in was easy, the location is situated at a lake in a wonderful park and still within walking distance to just about everything.

  Good experience overall. Would stay here again

  Liked: We really appreciated that the hotel was easy to find and had parking. Although the room was simple, it was comfortable. And the beautiful park surroundings in the hotel's backyard felt like a breath of fresh air compared to the busy and congested dowtown Cologne. We found a nice pizza restaurant within walking distance, then took a nice walk through the park on the way back to the hotel. Breakfast was very good with lots of options.

  Disliked: My husband ordered a 'Long Island Iced Tea' from the bar and was disappointed. But, my drink was okay.

  A great 3 day, 2 overnight stay in Köln with my wife without costing too much

  Liked: The area, right near the lake was wonderful. With the strassenbahn system using a car is not necessary. All points of interest can be reached easily.

  Disliked: The closest strassenbahn is about 500 to 600 meters from the hotel. For a physically handicapped person it takes a while to get there. But, the hotel cannot control where the strassenbahn makes its stops and cannot be held accountable for that.

  Spoilt by lack of/wrong information and very expensive for the standard of room and service

  Liked: Reasonable room

  Disliked: We chose this hotel for the electric charging facility (I specifically asked about this via the app when booking and got no reply) which was pointed out to us by desk staff on arrival. They clearly had not been briefed that it was broken! In fact both cables completely sliced off. Next morning Ibrahim said that it had been broken for ages but they hadn’t yet removed the mention from their booking.com entry. It meant less time with my daughter as we had to stop en route home to charge. Why was this not explained at checkin if not on booking? Secondly, on arrival back to the hotel after dinner and looking forward to a quiet drink at the bar we found a private party /disco in full swing. No warning had been given about this. Desk staff said it was very rare! Why then, when we checked in and I asked if the hotel was busy that night, was no mention made of this? We were hoping that this hotel would be a good place to stay when visiting my daughter during her year studying in Köln but we were not impressed. Ibrahim promised a 15% refund via booking.com which we are still awaiting. A pretty small gesture but at least something.
