Good stay for a couple of days but hotel not 4 star standard

  Liked: The location and breakfast.

Disliked: Very tatty, carpets need replacing bedrooms and bathrooms a little tired. No tea and coffee or fridge facilities in room.

A wonderful, comfortable stay with beautiful views, friendly staff, a great location, and the Rhine River right outside

Liked: I absolutely loved my stay at RUGS Hotel Köln! The views were amazing, and the location was perfect. It’s close to local shops and only a few minutes from Cologne’s major shopping areas, while still being in a quieter, more quaint setting. The breakfast was also great—nothing overly fancy, but exactly what you want to start your morning. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I don’t speak German, but they did their best to communicate with me, which I really appreciated. One of my favorite things was how close the hotel is to the Rhine River. The river walk is just steps away and makes for a beautiful and relaxing way to enjoy the area. I would absolutely recommend RUGS Hotel Köln to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a quieter area while still being just a short distance from everything Cologne has to offer.

Disliked: Honestly, there wasn’t much I didn’t enjoy about my stay. If I had to mention anything, the hotel is a little removed from the busiest parts of central Cologne, but I actually enjoyed that because it made the area feel quieter and more relaxing.
