  Perfect base for San Siro and the city centre

  Liked: We stayed at Hotel Domenichino for a football weekend in Milan and couldn't have chosen better. The location is excellent – the Amendola metro station is just a short walk away, with direct connections both to San Siro stadium and to the Duomo in the city centre. Breakfast was excellent, with a great choice of fresh food, and the rooms were comfortable and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended, especially for anyone visiting Milan for a match!

  Liked: The rooms were quite clean and cozy, and housekeeping was regular, so everything was always tidy. The staff were generally friendly, and the breakfasts were good. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, making it a peaceful place to stay. Overall, it is a decent option for accommodation.

  Disliked: We arrived about 40 minutes before the official check-in time. Although the hotel did not appear to be particularly busy, we were told to wait another hour before we could check in. Waiting itself would not have been a problem if the information had been communicated in a more polite manner. The room was missing basic amenities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and drinking water. In addition, the refrigerator did not work properly. Another issue was that we were not informed in advance about the additional tourist tax of €7 per person per day. Nobody mentioned this charge during the booking process or upon arrival, which came as an unpleasant surprise. Overall, I would have appreciated more attentive customer service, better in-room amenities, and greater transparency regarding additional charges.

  Great location and clean rooms, but basic amenities

  Liked: ​We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Domenichino. ​The hotel's location is excellent, just a short walk to the Amendola Metro stop, which makes getting around Milan extremely easy. Our room was spacious and clean, featuring a well-maintained ensuite bathroom with a good shower. The staff were also consistently helpful and welcoming throughout our trip.

  Disliked: ​On the downside, the amenities in the room were a bit minimal. There were no coffee making facilities, and the toiletries provided were limited to just a basic 2-in-1 shower gel/shampoo. The breakfast was also fairly basic, and the pastries felt a bit dry.

  Perfect place for our football and city break

  Liked: It was very clean and tidy with very good staff and they made us all feel very welcome. Breakfast was great and the room was spacious and comfortable.

  Very poor - not recommended

  Liked: The location was good - 15 minutes by Metro to the City Centre and is well placed to get to and from the San Siro (we walked back after the Inter game we saw, taking around 30 minutes, avoiding the need to queue for the Metro).

  Disliked: Cleanliness was poor. There were a number of examples: there was a big clump of hair in the shower when we arrived; dust and dirt in the corners of the room; and you had to pick your cutlery and plates carefully at breakfast if you wanted clean ones! Air conditioning not working. Our room was stiflingly hot despite turning the air con to the coolest setting. When we enquired at reception we were told this was because they'd turned the air con off as it was now autumn and that we should open the window. We did this but then, of course, were constantly woken during the night by passing traffic. The hotel shouldn't advertise air conditioning if they're not going to turn it on! Other faults: the toilet seat was loose and there was no plug in the sink making shaving very tricky.
