Exceptional
Huge, comfortable, clean room outside of center
Liked: HUGE room with a very well designed walk-in closet and a large sitting area, perfect for two friends traveling together. Extremely clean, nicely decorated, exceedingly comfortable beds. Loved having a coffeemaker in the room (although it was a little confusing to use). Air conditioning worked okay, and the windows opened. Nightstands also well designed. I was initially worried the hotel might be too far from the center for our tourist activities and feel unsafe/desolate at night on a weekend, given its proximity to the business district. (If you were traveling for business this would be a no-brainer place to stay.) However, we liked being away from the center at night, especially during protests by the Duomo... plus there were lots of nice restaurants a short walk away, particularly by Corso Como. Easy walk to the subway as well. Too far from Centrale to walk there with luggage, but you could probably walk to Porta Girabaldi station. Note: I have also stayed at the NH Milano Touring a few blocks away and would pick this one over Milano Touring; the room was just so spacious and comfortable by comparison.
Disliked: Only very minor negatives: Bathroom could use a fan and more counter surface area; main door jostled noisily when others on the hall came and went, and as a female traveler, this startled me awake thinking someone was trying to get into our room. That's a pity, because the beds were so comfortable, but my sleep was disrupted.
Liked: Location, rooms, services and staff.
Disliked: Nothing
An excellent hotel with warm staff — let down slightly by the mattress and a slow response on lost property
Liked: Almost everything. The hotel is beautiful, the location by Piazza Gae Aulenti is excellent, and the staff were genuinely warm — Alessandro, Giulia and Corinne all replied thoughtfully to my messages before arrival and did their best with every request. Step ع
Disliked: Two things. The mattress was springy and not comfortable — for a hotel of this level, I expected better. And after checkout I contacted the hotel about an item I had left in room 404. The reply was slow, and the following day I still had no confirmation of whether it had been found. For guests who are travelling onward, lost property needs a faster answer than that.
Liked: The room sectioning
Disliked: The toilet was super dirty like not even normal dirt
Pleasant stay
Liked: Room and bathroom were spacious, breakfast was good, but very busy so going earlier was best. Hotel not far from Brera, where we eat and shopped most days. We did stay in Milano for the F1, which meant the hotel was more costly than normal. Hotel was under construction at the time of stay, but it didn’t impact us much.
Disliked: Hotel was very busy for F1, which meant there were long waits for any service or assistance. Room service didn’t replenish tea bags daily, so we had to ask each night for tea bags.
Liked: Location
Disliked: Nothing
