What to see in Warwick
Must-sees
Warwick Castle is one of the best-preserved medieval castles in England, built over a fortress of William the Conqueror. You can visit its towers and walls, the halls, the dungeons and the gardens by the River Avon, with falconry shows and a huge trebuchet in summer.
The town has an old centre of half-timbered houses, St Mary’s Church, with a tower you can climb, and the Lord Leycester Hospital, a medieval complex that appears in many films.
Free tours and guided visits
