  Lovely place, great location, wonderful staff

  Liked: The staff were very attentive and made our stay a real joy. Two particular staff members deserve special mention, Cass and Sunali, as they made us feel particularly welcome and always made time for us. They are a credit to the hotel. There was another young lady from Poland whose name I didn't catch but she was also very helpful.

  Disliked: Breakfast was fine, and no chance of getting food poisoning, but could have done with being a little less well done. The lift could do with a service, it is very slow!

  Liked: I really enjoyed my stay! The location is fantastic: all the main attractions in Bath are within easy walking distance. When I arrived at the train station, I thought I’d need a taxi or bus, but it was actually just a pleasant 15-minute walk! The hotel itself is lovely, set in one of Bath’s beautiful traditional buildings, which really adds to the charm of the experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. I only tried the breakfast, but it was delicious and definitely another highlight. Overall, a really enjoyable experience!

  Disliked: Just two small things worth mentioning. The first is the smell of cooking in the entrance area. Since the reception, bar and dining area share the same space, food smells can become quite strong, especially around lunchtime. Not the most pleasant first impression when walking into the hotel. The second is the bathroom. Although modern and nicely designed, a few areas could benefit from some extra maintenance, particularly a couple of small spots of mould. Nothing major, but a little attention to these details would make the experience even better.

  Perfect location but room too

  Liked: Location was perfect

  Disliked: The superior room was in a separate building so away from the hotel lounge/ bar. It was far too warm even with the radiators switched off and both windows open. Fridge was warm too.

  Very disappointing, wouldn’t return

  Liked: Location Decor Breakfast was good

  Disliked: Bed was small, mattress very worn & lumpy. Bed advertised as a large double! No sleep at all unfortunately. (Also unknown hairs in the bed) Bathroom very tired, toilet propped up with a piece of wood, no riser for shower head, flush button heavily worn, no door handle on sliding door very hard to open when fully closed. Lots of dust and cobwebs in windows. Only two coffee pods in the room, so nothing for the morning if you used them when you checked in.
