The property I stayed in was entirely different from the one advertised

Disliked: The property I stayed in was entirely different from the one advertised—this wasn’t a minor discrepancy, but a completely different unit altogether. The layout, interior design, furniture, and even the advertised view of the Cathedral bore no resemblance to what was shown in the listing. The actual apartment was in poor condition—shabby, with a strong and unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke. After receiving my payment, the host sent over the check-in instructions and then stopped responding to all further calls and messages. To make matters worse, after I raised a formal complaint with Booking.com, I was told I had brought more guests than I booked for—an accusation that is entirely baseless and untrue.

Comfortable apartment, but noisy and not in a great location
Liked: Well equipped kitchen and appreciated the tea and coffee. Comfortable living room, which was light and spacious. Appreciated the fan in the hot weather.
Disliked: Bedrooms were very noisy - location not great next to takeaway venues, where we were constantly disturbed by delivery drivers and dustbin emptying. Bathrooms were functional. Difficult to get in touch with hosts when we had a problem, although when we did, they sorted it satisfactorily.
