  Beautiful pub!

  Liked: Beautiful rooms in a beautiful pub! Lots of detail, lots of character. I've stayed in room three before, but this time I was in room two...I can recommend both. Comfortable, clean and warm. Great location. Breakfast is outstanding!

  Disliked: The lighting is not very strong, and same goes for the shower, but they are minor details.

  Atmospheric old inn

  Liked: Lovely staff, very helpful and cheerful. Breakfast excellent, both full English and continental. Bedroom comfortable and clean.

  Disliked: Bedroom rather gloomy, dark paint and low wattage lights. Deep step to bathroom.

  (review on behalf of my parents)

  Liked: Location was fantastic Lovely breakfast and coffee Staff were nice too Style and decor of the rooms was lovely, just needs a bit more light generally!

  Disliked: Main pub area was very dark due to the decor and lack of natural light, so we found ourselves going out to find somewhere else to spend our evenings Bedroom had a kettle (with a bit of gunk in it...) but the only the running water was from our bathroom, so we had to use our bottled water for tea or coffee in our room. Shower was very weak and shower room very cramped. We understand it's an old building which is part of the charm, but there were loose and creaky floorboards in our room and the lighting again was just not sufficient. The photos look great but sadly slightly underwhelming in person.
