Liked: Great location, with a very short walk to Hoole, with a couple of nice pubs and restaurants. Rooms lovely and modern and well decorated.. Fridge with fresh milk and water was a lovely addition as was the coffee machine. Shower great pressure. Bathroom had The White Company toiletries in which was also a lovely addition.

Disliked: The double bed seemed to be a small double, so it was a bit of a tight squeeze with 2 of us in, but apart from that it was very comfortable and we slept well

Great place for a short break

Liked: The property was clean, very close to the city centre. Breakfast was great and good price. The car park was an advantage

Disliked: We didn’t get a good sleep due to the noise on the upper floor, we can hear the conversations. Poor sound proofing. The staff was not very helpful when we had issue with the coffee machine. Did not offer to check or gave us any alternative. Just a simple response that she can’t help and that is it. During breakfast, staff were not friendly and warm and welcoming.

    Great find in Chester

Liked: The place was warm and cosy, all decked up for Halloween. The staff were friendly and helpful both on arrival and at breakfast, couldn't do enough for you. Our room was spacious, warm and clean with everything you would need.

Disliked: Nothing really it was all good.

    A nice b&b but not 5*

Liked: Staff were welcoming and friendly. Bathroom in the room was nice. Location of the property was good, few good pubs and restaurants in walking distance. Coffee machine was good and nice to have a fridge. It was a nice b&b but not the 5* we were hoping for.

Disliked: For the price of the stay, it was disappointing to only have a double bed (not king). There were stains on the bedding and there was an obvious rip in one of the duvets. Not sure why it's classed as 5* our expectations were not met. Breakfast selection was very basic and the cooked breakfast had an additional price attached to it which I think is a bit cheeky considering how much they charge per night for the room. Luckily in our case we were not actually charged for it. Also the lighting in the room was very poor.

    Chester city break

Liked: Superb location, we were able to walk into Chester in about 20 minutes. Large, comfortable room, great bed.

Disliked: Parking is tight. You need to pay extra for a cooked breakfast.
