  Happy House in Harmonious Hoole

  Liked: Very nicely put together accomodation. A very comfortable stay...loved Hoole. The owners are very considerate...result...happy guests. Shopping in the area is excellent...fresh fruit veg eggs butter...meat...fish...in Hoole main shopping street... gorgeous bread and breakfast treats from the bakery near the accomodation... the supermarket for a few other bits and pieces...and the fabulous Sticky Walnut restaurant when you arrive early to enjoy lunch before check-in. Everything surprisingly good.

  Disliked: Just a warning about staying in Hoole...because it is fabulous but you should know the bus service is awful...and confusing...buses that come into the bus station on one number but go out on another...bus stops that cannot be accessed on foot...five or six different routes scattered throughout the hour from the same bus stop without giving each bus № its own timetable... so you really have to research, process, retain and recall info if you are ever going to get on the correct bus...if it comes at all...a huge and confusing bus 'exchange' with a useful bus in 2 minutes going from a bay on one side and the next going from a bay on the other side in 11minutes etc and the №9 nowhere in evidence except it was a 7 and then became a 9 upon departure, Aaaaagh!! So get a taxi should you see one...not that expensive....or walk. I am still on crutches from an accident...otherwise we would not have bothered with the buses. After saying all that...and one needs the truth...I would add...stay in Hoole!! It's great...it's special.

  Great for few days, shame about second bed

  Liked: Good location, walking distance to shops and eateries. Great for visiting zoo etc. Good sized rooms and well equipped.

  Disliked: The second bedroom bed was uncomfortable, found it very hard, unfortunately had disturbed sleep because of it. Needs mat for inside shower, very slippery.

  Beautiful, comfortable and homely property in a lovely quiet location close to amenities!

  Liked: Lovely quiet suburb, close to shops and restaurants etc, and walking distance from Chester city centre. Beautifully decorated property, clean, comfortable with thoughtful touches. Perfect for a short stay as a little family!

  Disliked: There are no laundry facilities (which was only an issue for us as we’re traveling with a toddler), and if you’re not used to stairs you might have trouble with how steep they are!

  Great place to stay within a very short distance to Chester

  Liked: The location of this townhouse was great, there were plenty of shops/cafes/restaurants within a few minutes walking distance and then Chester is just a short drive (although it is walkable if you would prefer) The house was very nicely decorated, the hosts were very informative prior to the visit. We really enjoyed our stay.
