  Great hotel in the city centre

  Liked: Decent location, really comfortable room, great shower. Breakfast was excellent quality too.

  Disliked: The bar was a bit pricey and the price seemed to change depending on what member of staff served me.

  If I come to the same event next year, I anticipate that I’ll book again

  Liked: Good location for the city centre, and the event I attended at the Exhibition Centre at Albert Dock (about a 15 minute walk). The second time I’ve stayed at the Hotel. Not sure if it’s the case for all rooms - but the two I’ve stayed in were both very different. Last year’s had a very high ceiling, about 12 feet. Last week’s was about 7 feet high. This is not a criticism, far from it - I like the individual character.

  Disliked: Some carpets and furnishings are a little tired.

  Liked: The staff were lovely. The bed was comfortable. The shower amazing and breakfast was very good.

  Disliked: The spa was disappointing. No steam room open but not told this on admission. Pool tiny.
